

Betty Lott Erskine Drenning, 87 passed away peacefully at Sunrise of Minnetonka in Minnetonka, MN on August 24, 2012. Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 10am to12 pm with a Funeral Service to start at 12 pm at Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, 289 S Main St., Pataskala, OH. Interment to follow at Pataskala Cemetery, Pataskala, OH.
Betty was born on June 22, 1925 to Anna and Noah Lott. She married Glenn Erskine in 1944, had three daughters and was licensed to sell life insurance after his death in 1974. She preferred to be remembered as a Homemaker and Mother. In 1977 she married William Drenning. They resided primarily in Pataskala, OH and Sebring, FL. Bill died in 2008. Betty said that she was lucky to have been married to two wonderful men who loved her and whom she loved. She was married to each for 30 years. She lived in Minnesota for the last 5 years where she received exceptional and loving care.
Betty had various nicknames; Betty-B, BR (Betty Ruth), Sam, Betsy, and Jelly Bean. She enjoyed playing games with her grandchildren and children, (yahtzee, double solitaire, Sorry and others) as well as playing bridge, tennis and golf. She was a member of Highland, Newark and Sebring Golf Clubs. She took great pride in following her grandchildren’s lives and tried to attend all milestone events.
She attended church regularly and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Pataskala as well as the First United Methodist Church in Sebring, FL where she sang alto in both choirs. She looked forward to singing in the Holiday Cantatas each year.
Preceded in death by her sister Mary Ann Doherty; brothers; William, Kenney, Roland and Don Lott and her first grandchild Michael Glenn Raymer.
Betty is survived by her daughters; Judy (Tiberiu Dabo) Lawton of Pompano Beach, FL, Gerry (Tom) Raymer of White Cloud, MI and Janelle (Mike) Shields of Orono, MN, five grandchildren; Jessica Woitas and Michael Shields, Jim, David, and Danielle Raymer; five great-grandchildren; Isabella and Veronika Woitas, Phoenix and Santiago Raymer, and Mason Shields, sister-in-law and dear friend Glenna Lott, stepsons; Greg and David Drenning, and stepdaughter Sondra Eagleson.
May Mom receive the LARGEST WINGS available for an angel and may she be free in spirit to enjoy her rewards of living an exemplary life.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to “Park Nicollet Foundation for Hospice –Music Therapy” at 6500 Excelsior Blvd., St. Louis Park, MN 55426.
