David Harold Waugh

David H. Waugh, of Pataskala OH, passed away February 2, 2022 after a brief and valiant battle with cancer at the age of 69. David was born in Columbus, OH to Mildred Louise (Borders) Waugh and David A. Waugh. A graduate of South High School, he married his high school sweetheart and raised four children together. Retired from UPS, David had a passion for logistics, always prepared with a plan and precise and efficient packing skills. A lover of animals and a kind-hearted dad, David took in and loved many pets his children brought home throughout the years. David was a calm and steady source of support for his family, quick-witted and enjoyed traveling to the beach. His many hobbies centered around fixing and building things for his family, working on projects around his home, and in his younger years enjoyed scuba diving. David was preceded in death by his father, mother, and infant brother Steven. He is survived by his wife Kathryn (Greenwood) Waugh; children Heather Waugh, Erin (Brian) Bakke, David C. (Darica) Waugh, Sara (Sarah) Waugh, and bonus fifth child and niece Jennifer Silcott; beloved grandchildren Avery, Cameron, Molly, Porter, Elliot, Ethan, Adalee, and Jude; sister Susan (Roy) Simmons, nephews Christopher (Caitlyn), Jeremy; and many extended relatives and friends. In lieu of funeral services, David requested that his family celebrate his life together on a warm, sandy beach.
