Elaine Marie (Blazek) Willey, 73, of Pataskala, met our Lord and Savior on January 11, 2017. She was born in Cleveland, OH on February 28, 1943, a daughter to the late John and Helen (Rezabek) Blazek. Elaine retired from Containerport Group in 2008 after 25 years of service. She was active and deeply involved in the Passion Play “Tetelestai” for over 10 years; she created her own spiritual clown ministry, touching lives of so many for almost 20 years, under the name “Sassy”. Elaine was also very active in Church ministry: she served as a greeter, usher, sacristan, and Eucharistic Minister, assisted at Kids Klub and holiday programs, a member of the Hosanna Praise Band. She participated in several Bible Study groups, and was a former associate of the Sisters of St. Joseph and a commissioned Stephen Minister. Two of her greatest spiritual passions were for Kairos Prison ministry and the Reynoldsburg Emmaus Community, both as an active presenter and support person behind the scenes. Elaine enjoyed working in the concession stand at the Beechwood Trails community swimming pool and the various events held at the pool. She loved her animals, not only her dogs, cats, wild rabbits and fish, as she was a member of HOFA (Heart of Ohio Ferret Association) where she was a rescue and hospice caregiver. Elaine is survived by her loving husband, Bob Willey; daughters, Debi (Kene) Buza, Dee (Kevin) Jensen; sons, Dennis (Lara); step-daughter, Nikki (Mike) Warner; step-son, Shane (Amy) Willey; grandsons, Joshua Buza, Andrew Davis, Brennan Jensen, Jackson Davis and Cole Davis; step-grandson, Drew Warner, Carson Warner and Donovan Willey; step –granddaughters, Halle Warner, Ashley Crosby and Taley Willey; special granddaughter, Ali Priest; brother, Fr. John Blazek, C.S.C.; sister, Marilyn Welker; niece, Laura (Greg) Cochran; nephews, Michael (Lisa) Welker and Mark Welker; great-nephew, Tyler Cochran and great-niece, Eleanor Cochran. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister, Helen Blazek. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 7714 Hazelton-Etna Rd., Pataskala, OH 43062, with Pastor Brett Rizzo officiating.
