Fred Maynard, Jr., age 68, a 14 year resident of Pataskala, Ohio, died Sunday, February 16, 2014. Born September 7, 1945 to the late Fred Sr. and Tempest Francis Maynard. Retired after 34 years of service at ATT and 13 years of service at Discover Financial Services. Fred was baptized Baptist and enjoyed traveling and riding his Harley. Survived by loving wife of 27 years, Susan; son, William Joseph (Nikki) Maynard of Urbana; daughter, Karen Thurman of Ocean Springs, MS; sister, Patricia (Manny) Mora; step-daughter, Cindy (Joe) Cheeseman; step-son, Donald Jr. (Tina) Fry; grandchildren, Jerrad Carr, Ryan Maynard, Nicholas Carr, Collin and Logan Thurman, Toni (Ryder) and Taylor Cheeseman. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 at KAUBER-SAMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main Street, Pataskala, where Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Friday. Burial will follow in Pataskala Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, in Fred's memory.
