James Edward Houghton, age 61, of Reynoldsburg, died peacefully Saturday, February 8, 2014 at home. Longtime employee of Berwick Steel. Veteran U.S. Navy, Viet Nam. Life member of NRA. Graduate of Reynoldsburg High School, Class of 1970. Avid reader, book collector, golfer, fisherman and frequent attendee of science fiction conventions. Preceded in death parents Edward K. and Ona M. Houghton, brothers Richard and Joseph. Survived by brother, Rob (Cindy) Houghton of Pataskala; sisters, Ida Flewelling of Bellingham, WA and Marty Cain of Louisville, KY; best-friend, Diane Juhola; nieces, nephews and dear friends. Memorial Service 11 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at KAUBER-SAMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 289 South Main Street, Pataskala, OH. Pastor Cal Alexander officiating. Inurnment Pataskala Cemetery.
