Jewel Griffith

A Funeral Service for Jewel Griffith of Pataskala will be held Saturday March 28, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Jersey Baptist Church with Pastor John Hays officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Jewel was born on Dec 12, 1920 in Flat Gap, KY to the late Mason and Lester (Williams) Ross. She died Sunday March 22, 2015 in Columbus. She was 94.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years Paul Griffith, sisters Gertie Burnette, Freida Jenkins, and Faye Perkins, and her brothers Willard and Ford Ross. She is survived by her daughter Sue Hostenske, grandchildren Scott (Kristene) Hostenske, Pamela (Kevin) Stutler, and Brian Hostenske, and her great-grandchildren Elizabeth and William Hostenske, and Benjamin and Juliana Stutler. Brothers and sisters Lorene Pennington, Helen Detillion, Geneva (Delbert) Gilliam, Dale (Christine) Ross, and Paul (Goldie) Ross; numerous nieces and nephews, special nieces Kathy Evans, Sandy McGowan, Sharon Wallin, and Connie Rawlins.

Jewel was a member of the Jersey Baptist Church that she dearly loved to be a part of, and she and her husband Paul worked at the Wigwam. Friends may call on Friday at the Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 289 South Main St in Pataskala from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Jersey Baptist Church.
