

She was born in Columbus, OH, on May 26, 1925, to the late Betty (Whiting) and Alvin M. Roloson. Joan was preceded in death by her husbands, Guy Edward Evans and Charles R. Differt.
Joan lived most of her life in Columbia Center where she raised her two sons. She worked for the Columbus Depot (DCSC). Joan was a member of the Summit Methodist Church and the Columbia Center Community Church and Willing Workers, and the Golden Clefs Choir of Reynoldsburg. Joan was active in the Summit Seniors Club and was its secretary for many years. She also wrote the local senior citizen news columns for the Pataskala newspapers.
Joan is survived by two children: David L. Evans and wife Lois, of Carlisle, PA; and Patrick E. Evans and wife Clarissa, of Cleveland, GA; two step-children, Alice Siegfried, of Oneonta, NY; and Robert Differt of Mentor, OH, and sisters; Jean Brenon, Alice Nodes, Esther Messerknecht and a brother George Roloson. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren and was predeceased by a sister, a brother, and a granddaughter.
A viewing will be held at Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home in Pataskala from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The funeral officiated by Pastor Robert Turner will follow at 11:30 a.m., with the burial at Blendon Central Cemetery, Westerville.
