June L Abbott

June (Snider) Abbott, 88, of Columbus, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 at her residence. Her husband, Willis “Bill” Abbott preceded her in death in 2001. June was born in Dayton, Ohio and raised in Cambridge, Ohio where she graduated from High School in 1947. She attended Ohio University, and worked at the Farm Bureau and later The Nationwide Insurance Company. In 1966 she and her husband built and owned Brookview Floral Greenhouses in Grove City, Ohio. In 1984, she started working for The Ohio State University and retired from there in 2002. She was a member of The Ohio State University Presidents Club, The Outville Presbyterian Church and a choir member there. June is survived by her son, Mark W. Abbott; daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Nixon; grandchildren, Nicole (Nowicki), Ryan and Conner Nixon; sister-in-law, Ruby Claypool; nieces and nephews, Mike and Jennie Abbott, Lenny and Marsha Gerhart, Randy and Janet Abbott, Renee Lones, Chris and Barbara Claypool, Mike and Gwen Shafer, Gayle Hansley and many “great” and “great and great” nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2017 at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at Outville Presbyterian Church, 6469 Outville Rd. SW, Pataskala, OH 43062, with Pastor Kae Merold officiating.
