

Karen Lynn (Lucas) Johnson, 61 of Pataskala, passed away March 18, 2016. She was born October 24th 1954, in Columbus, Ohio and was a 1973 graduate of Walnut Ridge High School. She was a 1974 graduate of Nationwide Beauty Academy.
Karen married David A. Johnson April 29th, 1978 and moved to Pataskala in 1979 where she lived until her death.
Karen, also known to her Girl Scouts as Mama Bear, is survived by her husband David; daughters Sarah (Brian) McGuire, and Emily Johnson; grandchildren Aiden, Brigid, and Pierson; furry friend Koby Jack; close niece and nephew John (Lisa) Lucas and Carol (Hal) Watts; extended family and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Sarah (Pennington) Lucas, son Aaron Micah, brother Charles Lucas, Special Aunts Della (Pennington) Kelly and Sylvia Anderson.
Karen served in many community service organizations including Girl Scouts, Pataskala Oaks, Pataskala Seniors, Pataskala Elementary PTO, SWLYFC, Band Boosters, Sunday School Teacher, Scarlet-Ohia Red Hatters, 4-H and PCPAAA. She also worked for ten years as the office manager for the Pataskala Post.
Friends may call at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, on Monday, March 21st from 6-8pm. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd, at 10:00am at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home with Mindy Ross officiating.
