Michael Douglas Stroud

Michael Douglas Stroud, 78, of Pataskala, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026 at his residence. He was born on May 24, 1947 in Little Rock, AR, a son to the late Douglas and Demetra (Belew) Stroud. A proud Arkansan and longtime resident of Russellville, AR, he was a graduate of Little Rock Central High School and the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where he earned his degree in Electrical Engineering. He retired from Entergy after a dedicated career and was a man of steadfast character who took great pride in his work and even greater pride in his family. During his many years in Russellville, he was a devoted member and served faithfully at Grace Fellowship Church. Michael is survived by his sons, Barry (Beth) Stroud and Andy (Kristi) Stroud; grandchildren, Meredith, Carter and Bruce; sister, Judy (Gwynn) Stroud; sister-in-law, Bobbie Barnes; nephews, Sam (Amber) Barnes and Tim Barnes and great-niece and great-nephew, Evelyn and Camden. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann Stroud (Whitley). Michael’s legacy of service and faith lives on in the hearts of his family and the many friends he made throughout his years in Arkansas and Ohio. Woo Pig! Honoring Michael’s wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
