Patty Ann Sagar

born November 13, 1944 to Paul and Martha Murphy in Columbus Ohio. She attended

Gahanna Lincoln schools from Kindergarten until graduation in 1962, never missing a

single day of school. She married Dennis Sagar on November 8, 1964, and they moved

to their Pataskala home in July of 1966, where they remained throughout their 56 years

of marriage. Pat is survived by her husband, Denny; children Lori (Harold) Cheney and

Tom Sagar; grandchildren, Megan and Alex; her sister, Marcia Esty; her sister in law,

Joann Sagar; 5 nieces and 2 nephews; and her dog, Buddy. Pat was a dedicated

employee of Licking Heights Schools from 1986-2010 as Food Service Director, and

served as a Councilwoman for Pataskala from 1999-2015. She also served on the

Board of Trustees for the Licking/Knox counties Goodwill Industries, volunteered for the

Licking County Senior Citizens Levy Committee, spoke for Franklin and Licking County

Courts Victim Impact panels, and presented at Prom Promises, including at Licking

Heights and New Albany High School (where Lori teaches) for MADD. She loved to

travel, especially to Cole’s Point Resort in Campbellford, Ontario, where she visited for

over 70 years. Visitation will take place Thursday, June 3 from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 6:00 -

8:00pm at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062 where a

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 4 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers,
