Rita Jean Miller

Rita Jean Miller, 87, born March 20, 1930, Pataskala, OH, passed away on May 2, 2017, Columbus, OH. Graduated from Central High School, 1948, Retired from the Insurance business. She was a member and treasurer of the Whitehall Area Lions since 1987, Central H S Alumni Association, and Southwest Licking Historical Society. Rita grew up in Pataskala and always thought of it as home, loved volunteering at the Mead-Needham Museum. She was an avid Ohio State Football fan, enjoyed playing Euchre, crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, her family, and willing to help anyone in need. She had a huge heart and will be sorely missed by her neighbors, many dear friends and family. Rita is preceded in death by her parents, James A. Fishpaw, Ruth Mead Fishpaw and grandson, Corey A. Rutherford. Survived by daughter, Becky (Bruce) Rutherford; brother, James B. (JoAnn) Fishpaw; granddaughters, Veronica (Joe) Redmond, Vanessa Rutherford; four great grandchildren; nephew, John Fishpaw and special cousins, Suzanne Liakos, Leanne Taylor, Greg Liakos, Ryan Davis and Paige Tulane Davis. Friends may call from 5-8 pm on Monday, May 8, 2017 at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062. A Lion’s Club service will be held on Monday evening at 7:30 pm. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Calvin Alexander officiating. Interment will follow at Pataskala Cemetery.
