I enjoyed working with Tim at McD years ago.  We became friends and enjoyed many outings together.  We both left McD and lost track of each other.  I caught up with him when he lived in Louisville but not since.  I would like to know how he lived the rest of his life.  He was an interesting and good man.


    Tim and I got into no end of trouble both as altar boy partners at St Ferdinand's and in scouting. He always had a mischievous smile, and I tried to copy it. Tim's Dad, our Scoutmaster, was always very patient with us, even when I bounced a dart off a tree on an camping trip and it rebounded into Tim's thigh. It's easy for me to still see him as a youngster in that scout uniform. 

     I will miss him greatly, and now I especially treasure the chance we had to re-unite and renew our friendship at the St Ferdinand 50th celebration a few years ago. My prayers are with you and your families.

Tim will always be remembered for his tremendous contribution as the pioneer of the chain and casual restaurant business in the middle east, but more so for his insatiable zest for life and his ability to bring out the best in those who had the privellage to know him !

I had the pleasure of working with Tim at A&W in Michigan.  I am  fortunate to have had that short time to know him.  He shared wonderful stories of his world travels, his knowledge of the foodservice industry and was always a bright light.  His humor was one-of-a-kind!  I learned a lot from Tim... Especially on those days riding to and from work when the Fiero was in the shop :)
I've thought of him often and only wish I would have kept in touch.  He will truly be missed!

I attended St.Ferdinand's School.
A few years ago, we had our 50th reunion and Tim brought many photos and other memorabilia that he said his mother saved over the years. This contribution added a lot to the reunion. At a reunion prep meeting, Tim spoke about some fellow students who had passed.  He talked about their friendship, accomplishments and  that he would miss them. He also spoke lovingly of his family. I think Tim made the world a better place.

Dear Eileen & Family,
It is with great sorrow hearing about the passing of Tim.  Remembering his family owned clothing Store in Chicago and the Starsiak Family.  Tim was always easy to get along with and he enjoyed life to the fullest.  He was a member of the 50th reunion committee of his grammar school At St. Ferdinand.  Our prayers go to the family.

I only knew Tim for a little over a year, but he made quite an impact. I don't believe I've ever met someone with such a passion for life. He would stop by my office some afternoons for a discussion on supply chain, but would inevitably end up telling me fantastic stories of his life on the road, and most of all, talking about his dear family, of whom he was so pleased and proud. I send thoughts and prayers for you all.
Tim, I wish I'd know you longer, I wish I'd known you better, and I'd give anything for one more afternoon chat and the sound of your laughter. Thank you for being you.

When I first met Tim, I was the newest addition to the FOCUS Brands family and I had come for my training to the Atlanta office. Coming from overseas, I hadn`t packed anything for cold weather. Tim realized this and without saying a word, he brought his own coat from home the next day and offered it to me... 

This is how I will always remember him, as one of the kindest people you can meet, with the biggest heart you can encounter.

timmy, i just cannot fathom a world without you.  i have never known a better man.with your  unquenchable thirst for knowledge of everything and everyone, that never dimmed over the years.  you just embraced it all, which is evident in all the pictures in the beautiful collage your family put together.  in almost every photo, there you are with your arms outstretched, a big smile on your face.  and that is the essence of you,  my dear friend.  ever welcoming, family,  family pets, friends, and strangers, who never remained strangers for long. i will never forget that it was you, who put my little emma rose, into my arms for the first time. how your laughter, your kindness and that twinkle in your eyes,  will be missed.  i remember once, in kentucky, you took linka and i to your office, at "papa johns".  you introduced us to one of your co-workers as follows:  "this is my old, dear friend susie, and my wife eileen". for whatever reason, that just cracked me up.  to this day, i think of that, and it never fails to make me chuckle.  thanks timmy..  to linka, whom i love like a sister,  amy, alex, mrs. starsiak, michael, raymond, gregory, marie, andrea, rachel, jt, connor and all of the starsiak family, i send my deepest and most heartfelt loving thoughts to all.

Tim, you are one of the greatest human beings I've ever met in my life.  It's my loss I didn't get to spend more time with you.  You are painfully missed!

I have only worked with Tim for the past 16 months. He welcomed me to the team at FOCUS Brands with open arms last year. So many things I love about Tim and will never forget: his knowledge and passion for the business, his work ethic, his story telling and the one I will miss the most, his laughter. He had a huge heart and would always be there to help in any way he could. I will miss you my friend.

I did not know Tim really well, but I always knew when he was in the office because I could hear his laugh down the hall. Tim's laugh and magnetic personality sure will be missed by the Focus Brands family.

Only a few times in every life do you get to meet someone who you'd simply define as "a really good, high-caliber guy".  For me, Tim was one of those guys.  He had a genuine, upfront and candid personality that was so refreshing and amusing - and I'm really glad that I was able to know him, if only for a little while.  You'll be missed, Tim.
