

Charles Emmerson Norviel, 86, of Peachtree City, GA passed away April 15, 2015. He was born in Mattoon, IL on January 14, 1929. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, John Norviel, Jessie Norviel, and Vernon Norviel.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of 66 years, that he married at the First Baptist Church in Mattoon, IL on September 3, 1948, Shirley Lacy; his children, Carla and Bob Fisher of Broomfield, CO, Terri and Dwight Hartman of Peachtree City, GA, and John and Tina Norviel of Sachse, TX; his grandchildren, Colette Hartman Reed and her husband Alex of Cumming, GA, Rachel Hartman of Colorado Springs, CO; and Nancy and Stephen Norviel of Sachse, TX; and his great-grandchildren, Camille and Emmeline Reed of Cumming, GA.
Chuck and Shirley lived in Denver during their working life and Chuck worked for B.K. Sweeney Co., a small manufacturer of specialized tools as their production control manager. He was active in the SPEBSQSA and sang in the Denvairs quartet. They moved to Fairfield Bay, AR after retirement in 1985, then to St. George, UT and then settled in Peachtree City, GA to be with and enjoy their granddaughters. He was a member of Evergreen Church and had been a member of the choir for many years.
His remains will be interred at Resthaven Memorial Park in Mattoon, IL on Friday August 7, 2015 at 3:00pm with Pastor Clyde Masten of the First Baptist Church in Mattoon, IL officiating.
