Deberah Claire Martinez

Deberah Claire Davis Martinez , passed away at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA on February 18, 2015. She was born on September 29, 1948 to William Ford Stokes Davis and Patricia Mueller Davis in Portland, OR. She attended St. Francis College in Loretto, PA, and Colorado State University where she met and later married the love of her life and best friend William Patrick Martinez on September 20, 1969.

A genealogy buff, Debbie was a long time member of and historian for the Daughters of the American Revolution General Daniel Newnan Chapter. She loved to travel with her husband seeking genealogy documents from little court houses in the country and collecting antique china, glassware, and dolls.

She is survived by her children, Wendy Martinez Schneider of Lawrenceville, GA, Jerald Dwayne Farmer of Conyers, GA, William P. Martinez, Jr., and Jennifer Dunsmore Martinez of Vidalia, GA; her brother and sister William Stokes Davis and Mary Radyl Davis of McFarland, WI; and her grandchildren, Joseph Schneider, Claire Schneider, Eleanor Martinez, Cecilia Schneider, and John Vincent Martinez.

We know that she and Daddy are dancing in heaven to "Misty"- reunited at last!

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday February 21, 2015 at the Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home Chapel at 135 Senoia Road, Peachtree City, GA 30269. Family and Friends will be received following the service.
