Diane Mooney Hoff passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 1, 2014. She was born on October 8, 1963 in Charleston, WV. Diane was the youngest child of Mary Kaurin Moore and the late Walter Lawrence Kaurin, Jr. She excelled academically, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of West Georgia and a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology from Georgia State University. She used her education to fuel her passion of helping other people. After graduation, she began her career with the Fayette County School System, working as a speech pathologist at Peachtree City Elementary School, earning a STAR Teacher Award for the year. She later began working with the elderly helping people to speak again after suffering a stroke. Late in life, Diane joined her late husband's business and they ran a taxi service together in Peachtree City. Diane is survived by her mother, Mary Moore of Peachtree City; brother, Walter Lawrence Kaurin, III, of Newnan; sisters, Kathy Cook of Centerville, Utah and Mary Lynne Moore of Alpharetta; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 11:00am in the chapel at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City.
