

Dorothy Jacqueline Moore was born in Chicago, IL on January 21, 1961, the 3rd child of Andrew Carter and Mamie Moore. Dee Dee, as she was affectionately called by family and friends, attended Kennedy King College and worked as a house keeper at Palmer House to provide for her young family.
In 1992, Dee Dee relocated to Atlanta, GA and turned her life over to the Lord. She became an active member at the Body of Christ Christian Church. At this time, she began working security for AT&T, which led to her working at the 1996 Olympics held in Atlanta, one of her proudest moments.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cleotis Wicks; her mother and father; her brother, Charles Moore; her son, Antonio Moore; and her granddaughter, Ashley.
Dee Dee leaves to cherish her memory a sister, Laura Moore; brother, Chauncey Moore(Chantel); her daughters, Tiffanie Moore-Davis(Gregory) and Lakeischa Morgan; her sons, Terrance Moore(Sarah), Tamaine Moore(Elizabeth), and David McDowell; her grandchildren, Dijonnae, Tyler, Rashaud, Ryan, Brittany, Leia, Tyonna, Montavious, Atravious, Gregory, Ikedah, Brianna, Victorya, Kevontae, Khylah, David Jr., Rashar, Kayla, Amia, and Mina; and her great-grandchildren, Amber’Skai, Kylie, Iris, Kiara, Armani, Amiri; plus numerous other family members, friends, and loved ones.
A visitation for Dorothy will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home & Crematory, 135 Senoia Rd, Peachtree City, Georgia 30269, followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 11:00 AM.
