Edgar Tidwell Jr.

Edgar Tidwell, Jr., age 87, of Fairburn, GA went to be with the Lord on September 19, 2011. He was born on June 19, 1924 to Edgar Tidwell, Sr. and Rose Hayes Tidwell in Fulton County, GA. He married Opal Lee Beasley on November 24, 1944. He was a loving husband to his wife, a loving father to his kids, and to his grandchildren and great-granchildren. Edgar left behind his wife of 66 years, Opal Lee Tidwell; and their 6 children, Robert Lee Tidwell and his wife, Jeanette, Bobby Steven Tidwell and his wife, Lillie, Edward Lee Tidwell and his wife, Ruth, Larry Tidwell and his wife, Barbara, Linda T. Robertson and her husband, Doug, Donnail Tidwell and his wife, Barbara; 18 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. His homecoming services will be held at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, GA on Saturday, September 24 , 2011 at 11:00am with Pastor Marlon Favors officiating. The family will meet at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens 45 minutes after the service for the interment. A visitation will be held from 9:00am-11:00am the morning of the service. Pallbearers will be Daniel “Trell” Long, Jr., Jeremy Farmer, Jr., Bobby Tidwell, Jr., Edward Tidwell, Jr., Robert Tidwell, Jr., Frederick Alexander, and Wallace Reynolds.
