

Francis E. Cheney (Frank), age 98 passed away on August 24, 2013. He was born on November 30, 1914 to the late Earl J. Cheney and Cecil M. Copus Cheney. He was married to Emily Maurine Enslen Cheney for 65 years when she passed away in 2002.
Frank began his career with the design and manufacturing of locamotives at the Nickel Plate Railroad in Lima, Ohio. He was President and CEO of Baldwin Hamilton Corp. in Lima, Ohio; Group Vice-President of Armour Company; President of CH&H Corporation in Lima, Ohio; Executive of Clark Equipment, the Lima Division, and after retirement was on the Board of Directors in Chicago, Illinois; Chairman of the Board of Lake Casting, Inc. in Sandusky, Ohio; President of Transactions Ltd. (National & International); on the Board of the Allen County Airport; Past President of the Ohio State Chamber of Commerce in Columbus, Ohio; honored by Gov. James Rhodes when he was named to the Executive Order of Ohio Commodores; he was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sarasota, FL; a seventy year member of the Thirty-Second Degree Freemasonry; a member of Shawnee Country Club in Lima, Ohio and Palmaire Country Club of Sarasota, Florida.
He is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Ralston and husband, Roger of Newnan, GA and Jane Hofius, husband, Charles of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He is also survived by three grandsons, Christopher Danyo and wife, Katie of Atlanta, GA; Brett Danyo of Sharpsburg, GA; Jason Hofius and wife, Crystal of Tuscaloosa, AL; one Great-Grandaughter, Suzhanna; one Great-Grandson, Jaxson Hofius; a nephew, Douglas Enslen of Toledo, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Betty Enslen of Toledo, Ohio and two sisters, Betty Gibbs of Lima, Ohio and Jean Carder of Delphos, Ohio. Mr. Cheney was preceded in death by two sisters, Cecil Dawson and Doris Swallow.
Services for Mr. Francis E. Cheney (Frank) will be held in Ohio later in the year.
