Josephine Efird Thomas, 96, of Fayetteville, GA passed away January 12, 2022. She was born April 8, 1925 in Atlanta, Georgia, to parents Milton Otho Efird and Catharine MacRae Efird, and grew up in Albany, Georgia, and moved to south Atlanta area around 1950 to raise her family.
Survived by her children, Alan Efird “Skebo” Thomas (Bridget) of Wilmington, NC, John Randolph Thomas (Donna) of Fayetteville, GA, and Marilyn Thomas Stone of Atlanta, GA; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; half-sisters Julia Dozier, Louise Cain, and Catherine Tompkins; and sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Tillman and Mary George.
