Carmen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Whatever name you knew Carmen by, “Cuchy”, “Mommy”, or “Mama”, you remember how truly outstanding she was. Her natural beauty was only outdone by the beauty of her soul. She was the other half of a steel backbone that anchored a loving family.
Carmen was a vigilant, strong, powerful, and passionate woman veiled by a small stature and sweet smile. She worked so very hard, every day of her life, to provide for her family. She loved her entire family so hard and with all of her being. Carmen was the wife, mother & grandmother that all other women should aspire to be. She will be loved and missed to the moon and back!
Carmen was preceded in death by her parents; and by her devoted husband, Jose R. Rivas. They lived together in happiness and are once again reunited.
Carmen is survived by her daughters, Iris I. Pesante and Jeanette DeJesus (Sean); grandchildren, Benito, Alyssa, Sean, and Monica; her brother, Albert Santiago; many dear family members; and a host of friends.
