Marilyn Joyce Beckman

Marilyn Joyce Beckman, 90, of Newnan, GA went home to her Heavenly Father on April, 22, 2021. She was surrounded and wrapped in prayer by those she loved. She was born on December 25, 1930 in Evansville, IN to the late Tina Luvina (Matthews) Arney and Joseph Carlisle Massey.

Marilyn worked proudly as a Switchboard Supervisor with Morton Plant Mease Healthcare for nearly 22 years, until she retired in March 1998. She had a lifelong love of books and animals. Reading and tending to her pets was her favorite pastime. She loved her entire family with all of her heart and loved making special memories with them.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Harold Eugene Collins; her 2nd husband, Augustus “Mike” Beckman; sisters, Thelma Styers, Tina "Jackie" Knight, and Mary Ellen Halbig; and brothers, Donald Massey and Richard Arney.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Valerie Hanners of Newnan, GA, Cheryl Collins and Donna (Mark) Fontana of Deland, FL; grandchildren, Christina (Chris) Grooms of Newnan, GA, Rebecca Fojaco of Fayetteville, GA, Catherine (Ty) Buska of Conroe, TX, Aaron Hanners of Newnan, GA, Austin, Miranda, and Kayla Fontana of Deland, FL, and Tatiana Rosario and Brianna Kultschizky of Deland, FL; great-grandchildren, Robert, Keelan, Andrew, and Zachary Grooms, Samantha Fojaco, Michal, Emma, Bryce, Xander Buska, and Sydney Thompson; and her sister, Henrietta Crane of Evansville, IN.
