She graduated in 1957 from Cedar Crest College, which she dearly loved and cherished her time there. She then went to Cornell University and obtained her Master’s Degree in Nutrition. While attending Cornell, she met her husband, George, on her first day there. Nancy worked at several institutions and later had her private practice specializing in eating disorders. She was a 50 year member of the American Dietetic Association.
The family spent 20 years in Cherry Hill, NJ where she raised 4 children. They moved to Georgia in 1989 when George transferred with his company. Nancy easily made friends everywhere she lived -especially at Cedar Crest; in New Jersey; and Peachtree City.
Nancy loved to travel and she and George visited over 30 countries. Some highlights included being inside a pyramid in Egypt, the Great Wall of China, and the headwaters of the Amazon River. When asked which trip did she enjoy most, she always answered “my next one”. Nancy and George were married 62 years this past New Year’s Eve.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Dan Jr.
Nancy is survived by George; and their four children, George, Tom (Laura), Liz (Mary), and Jennifer; and by their grandchildren, Ryan, Danielle, Claire, Mac, and Sam. She loved hearing what the grandkids were doing. She will also be greatly missed by her cousins, Carol Stano and Kathy Fetner; niece, Renee Lanier; and brother-in-law, Bob Myers.
