Oscar was inducted into the Fairfax County High School Hall of Fame for three different sports. He joined the JC’s in Virginia when he was in his early 20’s and even played basketball on donkeys.
He married his best friend, June Marie Feagans Keplinger on March 10, 1961 and they were married 60+ years. They did everything together from bird hunting, helping out at Meals on Wheels, Ducks Unlimited, you name it…they did it together. They were always together and very active in the community. If you have ever been to Y-knots in Peachtree City, you can thank Oscar for the moose head hanging on the wall. Oscar worked as a Postal Inspector for the US Post Office until retirement.
June was his best friend and he said “If I only had one friend left, I’d want it to be you” a quote from Dan Seals song “One Friend”. She called him her “Babe”. Oscar is preceded in death by his beloved wife, June.
Oscar is survived by his daughters, Theresa L. Snider and Karen I. Keplinger (Roy Elliott); grandchildren, Kevin B. Snider (Tara), Jason M. Folds (Patricia), Steven L. Snider (Connie), Crystal L. Snider (Caleb), Cali Towery (Matt), Mac McCreary (Chassie), and Tricia J.
