Ruth Ruth H. Owens

Mrs. Daisy Ruth Hancock Owens, 91, of Tyrone, GA passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017. She was born on March 11, 1926 to the late Bessie Leola McLemore Hancock and Millard Jackson Hancock. Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 living years, Calvin Avery Owens (dec. 10/29/2016).

Ruth is survived by her children, Ron (Judy) Owens, Mike (Donna) Owens, Gary Owens, Rick (Lynda) Owens, Craig (Cindy) Owens and Karen (Jim) Branscomb; grandchildren, Brandon (Dana), Trent, Brad (Kristen), Jonathan (Jessica), Lauren, Jennifer, Madison, McKenzie, Mathew and Montana; great- grandchildren, Gavin Grant, Gabriella, Caden, Kameron, Kendall, and Elijah; and 3 great-great grandchildren; special family friends, the Parsons' family and Taylors' family; she also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 11:00am, in the chapel at McDonough Road Baptist Church, Fayetteville, GA with Dr. David Chancey and Dr. J.W. Wallis officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, GA. Everyone will meet at the gate at 2:30pm.
