Ann was born in Barnes, MS to Carlton and Verla Poole on September 3, 1940. She attended Barnes High School. She married Jim B. Withers on August 10, 1957 in Barnes, MS. She worked most of her career for Trustmark Bank. She was an amazing mother, devoted wife and a supporter of the Pearl community. She loved the Pearl Pirates football team and most Friday nights after she couldn’t attend in person she was watching on the television. She was an avid reader, scrabble player and had a fantastic memory for detail. If she had a vice it was her love of shoes. She was always interested in the details of her children, their spouses and her grandchildren; where they were traveling, how work was going, how was their health; what books they were reading. We will miss her greatly.
Ann was a devoted Christian and loved Jesus. Her faith was contagious, and she was steadfast in her prayer life. It is comforting for the family to know that Ann is in the presence of Jesus now as you read this.
Ann is preceded in death by her father; Carlton Poole and her mother; Verla Poole.
Ann is survived by her husband; Jim Withers, her two sons and their wives; Jim and Natalie Withers and Dan and Amy Withers; her sister; Lawana Culpepper, her niece; Sandra Landrum and her grandchildren; Cameron & Ashley Dobson, Haley Withers, James Withers and Brittany Withers.
