

Columbus Frankie Dotson, of Flowood, Mississippi went to be with his Lord and Savior February 18, 2025 at the VA Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi with his wife Norma of 68 years by his side, along with friends Wesley Clements and Vicki Watts.
Frank, as his loved ones referred to him as, was was born on September 5, 1937 in Lockhart, South Carolina to the late Lester and Viola Dotson. He is survived by his wife, Norma; son, Keith Dotson and wife, Ava of Katy, Texas; son, Scott Dotson and wife Lily of Spring, Texas; grandsons, David Dotson and Daniel Dotson both of Houston, Texas; as well as some very precious nephews and nieces; brother, Jimmy Dotson and wife Sarah of Cheraw, South Carolina; sister, Niwana Cohn of Charlotte, North Carolina; sister, Emily Hefner of Lancaster, South Carolina; and sister Paige Smith and husband Archie of Florence, South Carolina. Coming from a family 11, he is preceded in death by his siblings, L. G. Dotson, Jr., Dorothy Dotson, Kathryn Broadwell, Ralph Dotson, Jackie O'Dell, and Maxie Dotson.
With his amazing personality, he never met anybody he didn't like or that didn't like him ! He enjoyed playing games and pitching horseshoes, participating on several Senior Olympic competitions all over the U.S. He was a life master bridge, playing at Jackson Bridge Association in Flowood.
Frank was a salesman, working for L.M. Berry & Company selling Yellow Page advertising. He loved meeting and talking to people, so he had the ability to sell- which he enjoyed doing very much ! After his sales career, he drove a taxi for Veterans Cab Company- again he loved picking up people and finding out all about them !

As a United States Air Force Veteran, his survivors would like to thank all the staff at VA Hospital and Comfort Care for showing them showing true care in this difficult time through their attentiveness and professionalism.
A memorial service will be held on March 14, 2025, 2:00pm at Oakdale Baptist Church in Brandon.
