He was born on August 24, 1961 to Larry Dickey, Sr. and JoAnne Nunnery Dickey Knight in Jackson, Mississippi. For several years he owned and operated his own business, Dickey's AC service. David loved his family and had a reputation for always spoiling any children in the family, making sure he always kept a stockpile of yummy treats, like ice cream for hot summer country days. Also, he was a momma's boy, always making sure that she had freshly picked flowers. He was kind to everyone and had a heart of gold. David also cared for animals and had several beloved four-legged companions throughout the years. In his free time, he enjoyed riding four wheelers and was known as a serious pool shark. He had mastered the art of shooting pool, as well as foosball, and even won several trophies from competing. Even though he always won, his family treasured all the jokes and memories shared over the countless games they shared together. He had a real laugh which was also contagious and one that you would never forget.
David was preceded in death by his father, Larry Dickey, Sr. and his brother, Larry Dickey, Jr.
He is survived by his mother, JoAnne Nunnery Dickey Knight; sister, Mary Dickey Tucker; brother, Donny Dickey; nieces, Michelle Townsend (Tony), Monica Edwards, and Paula Lynchard (Shane); nephew, Eddie Dickey; great-nieces, Elizabeth, Morgan, Danielle, and Desire'e; great-nephews, Christopher, Daniel and Matthew; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
David is so loved and will be so dearly missed.
