Elizabeth "Diane" Kelly Weeks

A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Lakewood Memorial Park Pavilion in Jackson, Mississippi.

She was born on October 18, 1948 to Joseph Lloyd Kelly and Mary Margie Thornton Kelly in Jackson, Mississippi. Originally a member at Westview Baptist Church and Oak Forest Baptist Church, Diane was then a member at First Baptist Church of Jackson where she was active, teaching Women's Ministry Union and participating in other facets at the Church. Diane had a mostly quiet disposition and enjoyed spending her free time sewing. In addition, she could be found gardening and carefully tending to her flower beds. Diane was dedicated homemaker and wife first and foremost, but also worked at the Clinton Library as a librarian, as a teacher's assistant at Key Elementary School in Jackson, and at the Mississippi Gas company during the 70's.

Preceding her in death is her father, Joseph Lloyd Kelly; mother, Mary Margie Thornton Kelly; father-in-law, James Corley Weeks; mother-in-law, Alma Gertru Case Weeks; husband, David Case Weeks; and brother, Dennis Lloyd Kelly.

Diane is survived by her daughter, Nicole Weeks Reynolds and husband Tony Reynolds; sister, Deborah Lee and husband Reverend Paul Lee, Sr; grandchildren, Reagan Easton Benton, Shanna Jackson (Ronald), Austin Reynolds (Erin), Colby Reynolds (Morgan), and Hope Reynolds; nephew, Paul "P.J." Lee, Jr; niece, Mary "Kristen" King and husband Jehu; nephew, Joseph Curtis Kelly (Dorena); great-nieces, Rivers, Molly, Addy, and Cellina; six great-grandchildren; and a number of other dear extended family members and friends.

She will be so deeply missed.
