Elsie was born July 10, 1930 in Dublin, Ms. She grew up all over the state of Ms. She met and married Lee Allen Rast on June 4, 1949.
Elsie was a lifelong member of Skyway Hills Church of Christ in Pearl, Ms. She was the epitome of a faithful Christian woman, wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister and grandmother. She was a faithful devoted wife to Lee Allen for 57 years. She raised two sons, watching her oldest son suffer from cancer which took his life in November 2024.
She lived a long life and was able to know her great grandchildren. Her world revolved around her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a homemaker and loved cooking desserts and homemade biscuits for anyone who stopped by to visit. She loved the color pink, Jerry’s Fish House, family reunions at Red Hill and the Atlanta Braves.
Elsie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lee Allen Rast, her son Ronnie Rast, daughter-in-law Iris Rast and 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
Elsie is survived by her son, Terry Rast (Janice), sister Charlene Lewis, Grandchildren; Scott Rast, Allen Rast, Terri Lynn Giramonti, Tiffany Beardain, Jeremy Rast and 8 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, June 30, 2025 at Baldwin Lee Funeral Home from 11:00 to 1:00 pm with the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Floral Hills Memory Garden.
