Ernest Lackey

He was born on December 27, 1950, in Mississippi to the late Raymond Lackey and Elizabeth Barron Lackey. Ernest was a Veteran and proudly served our country in the United States Army. Ernest was employed at the Smokehouse of Florence for fourteen years. He recently retired to relax and enjoy life. His affable personality gained him countless treasured friendships over the years.

Ernest was known for being wonderful to everyone and considered his various comrades to be just like family, particularly his boss Frank and coworkers.

In addition to his parents, preceding him in death are his brothers, Kenneth Lackey and Jimmy Lackey and nephew, Ray Lackey.

Ernest is survived by his daughter, Autumn Lackey Coomes, residing in Lake Wales, Florida and by other various precious extended family members.

Ernest was a wonderful man, and he will be missed by all.
