

Visitation will be from 11-1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Buffington/Prisock, born in Simpson County MS to the late James Luther & Laura Ann Teasley, lived most of her life in Jackson & Pearl, MS. She worked for many years as a Customer Service Manager of Roses Stores and many years as a CareTaker.
She is preceded in death by husbands, Willie Lee Buffington and George Prisock; brothers, James & Archie Teasley.
Survivors include her sister, Edna Fisher, her daughter Jean (Mike) Willoughby of Asheville, NC; sons,Joe (Sherrie) Buffington of Clinton, Wayne Buffington of Bay Springs, and Ricky (Dana) Buffington of Raymond, MS. Eleven grandchildren Jason (Dora)Willoughby, Alisha (Taylor) Swicegood, Nicole (David) Barone, Wendy (Lee) Robinson, Ashley Buffington, Hope Patterson, Benjamin (Beth) Buffington, Brock (Leah) Buffington, Olivia Buffington, Marcus (Meghan) Buffington, Brandon (Candi) Buffington. 16 Great Grandchildren: Baxter, Garrett, Colton Swicegood, Kiki, Evi, Lollia Willoughby, Caden & Colton Buffington, Ty & Lindsay Buffington, Matthew, David, Nathan Barone, Courtney & Connor Robinson, and Abby Buffington. Many friends, nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews who affectionally called her “Mother” or “Mamaw.”
She was a member of Flowood Baptist Church, and served for many years as church clerk at Magnolia Park Baptist Church, Jackson MS.
As so well written by a granddaughter, “she was kind, generous, loving, optimistic, trustworthy, hard working, & most importantly had a heart for God. She knew the true meaning of life: faith, family, friends. She spelled love TIME. She showed us love with her time. How blessed we are to have known her.”
