Working as a beautician for several years in Raymond, Flora took great care and love in being part of people’s lives in this community, and being steadfast in her faith as a member of the Raymond Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents Otis Lavern Gordon and Mary Naomah Milling, husband Carlton Preston Thornton, son Lee Carlton Thornton, and sisters Evelyn Weaver of Union, MS, Willie Mae Davis, Carry Shealy, and Ruth Dowdle.
She is survived by her daughter Liddia (Jim) Thornton - George and granddaughters Jennifer (Adam) Benton, great-granddaughters Julia Brundige, Alana (Steve) Gonzales, Lindsay Pierce, and Elizabeth (Robert) Cruz, several great-grandchildren, and sister Becky Jefcoat of Flora, MS.
The family welcomes those who would like to celebrate the life of Pearl to join them for her services on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. The family will receive friends 10:00am - 11:00am. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am in the chapel. Graveside services will be at 12:30pm at the Raymond City Cemetery.
