Helen was born January 14, 1933, in Moorhead, a daughter of the late Bennie Lamar and Norma Thames Roberts. She made her home in Pearl where she resided for more than forty years. A gifted artisan, Helen had a true passion for painting, sewing, and crochet. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivy Blaine Long, son, Michael Long, and daughter, Donna Gail Rico.
Survivors include daughters, Pat Dunaway and Jennifer Ryan (Rusty); brother, Rev. Julius Roberts (Katherine); sisters, Carol Carroll (William) and Peggy Henderson; grandchildren, Bethany Eade, Matthew Dunaway, Michael Smith, Nicholas Smith, Elijah Ryan and Regan Trehas; and great-grandchildren, Olivia Dunaway and Dalton Bigby.
Interment will be held at a later date in the Benton Baptist Church Cemetery, Benton.
