Visitation will be held 12:00-1:30pm, Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 1:30pm in the funeral home chapel with graveside services at 4:00pm in the Tucker Cemetery in Kemper County.
She was born Thursday, October 2, 1924 in Kemper County, a daughter of the late Thomas A. George and Minnie Ruth Gibson George.
She enjoyed gardening and tending her plants and flowers. More recently her hobbies included playing bingo with friends at Ridgeland Pointe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Slawson, in July 1994.
Survivors include sons Jerry Slawson and wife Rosana and Tony Slawson and wife Phyllis; grandchildren, Kimberly Slawson, Todd Slawson, Mandy Bounds and husband Shelton and Mark Slawson; and sister-in-law, Peggy George.
