Jack Harmon Clements

Jack was born on September 4, 1934, in Bastian, VA to Mr. Ernest Edward Clements and Mrs. Lena Ruth Harmon Clements.

Shortly after graduating high school from Central High School in Jackson, MS, he married the love of his life Mrs. Alice Brown and their union was blessed with one daughter, Terri Clements. Mr. Jack and Mrs. Alice were together until her passing on July 4,1994.

He served our country in the US Army and had an extended career of 46 years with Mississippi Power and Light now known as Entergy.

Jack enjoyed anything outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Most of all he really enjoyed umpiring his daughter’s softball games. He was also an avid sports fan. He mostly enjoyed football and baseball, with Ole Miss being his team of choice. He was not shy about telling you about his team either.

He was actively involved in The Oak Forest Exchange Club where he was an officer of the organization for numerous years. Also, Jack was a member of Cooper Road Christian Church later becoming Covenant Christian Church serving on the Board of Directors and a deacon.

For the past decade Jack resided at Sunnybrook Retirement Center in Madson, MS. He was loved by all there, especially the staff.

Jack was known for his engaging personality making friends with everyone he met. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Alice Brown Clements; brothers, Kenneth R Clements, Harold W Clements, and Douglas Arnold Clements.

Left to cherish his memory and legacy is his daughter, Terri Clements Daniel (Tim) of Madison; and grandson, Dylan Holt Gregory (Courtney) of Madison.

Family will receive friends on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 11:00am – 12:00pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, MS. There will be a service following at the funeral home. The burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS the same day at 2:00pm.
