She was born July 21, 1981, in Flowood, and was raised by loving parents and “hands on” grandparents, all of whom instilled values of loyalty and trust in Jackie and her siblings.
She enjoyed a successful career in the insurance industry which spanned more than 23 years. For the last 6 years she was part of the team at Shelter-Derek McCombs Agency where she was beloved by both customers and coworkers alike.
Jackie was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them. Her husband’s career as a truck driver was difficult at times, but Jackie never wavered in her love and support for him.
When Jackie believed in something she stood behind it, and this was evident in all that she did. Whether her dedicated support of U.S. veterans, her innate love for animals, or her staunch support of LSU football, Jackie was “all in”.
Perhaps she will best be remembered for her traits of generosity and loyalty, and her compassionate and tender heart for others.
