Born on May 14, 1932, in Walnut Grove, MS to the late Mr. Houston J. and Annie Wolverton Jackson. He lived his younger life growing up in Sebastopol, MS.
Mr. Jackson had a lengthy career of 45+ years as a shipping supervisor with Stone Container Co. He was also a longtime member of Skyway Hills Baptist Church in Pearl.
When Mr. Jackson was not spending time with his family you could find him watching the Andy Griffin show, Gunsmoke, and many more. According to the family he could also cook up a mean shrimp boil.
Mr. Jackson is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy “Dot” Jackson in 2016; sister, Willie Lee Jackson; and brothers; Andrew George Jackson and Paul Davis Jackson.
He is survived by his sons, Dwight Jackson (Patricia) and Johnny Jackson; brothers, Ronald Lane Jackson and Kenneth Max Jackson; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 10:00am, Friday, May 30, 2025, at the funeral home with interment to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
