Mary Katherine Gatewood, 89, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 2-4 pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be 1pm Monday in the funeral home chapel. A graveside service will be held at 3pm at Hopewell Cemetery in Lake.
Mrs. Gatewood is preceded in death by her husband, Omah R. Gatewood, Sr.; son, Omah "Randy" Gatewood, Jr.; sister, Bobbye Black; and brother, Roger McCoy.
She is survived by her son, Larry Kenneth Gatewood (Fran); daughter, Susan Kay Perkins (John); brother, Tom McCoy (Margaret); sister, Barbara "Lou" Hardy; grandchildren, Matt and Scott Gatewood, David and Brian Perkins, Michelle Childers and Celeste Perkins; and six great-grandchildren.
