

Visitation will be 9:00am-11:00am, Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 11:30am at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pearl with interment in Springridge United Methodist Church Cemetery in Terry.
Lucy was born on Thursday, August 25, 1921 in Hinds County, Mississippi, a daughter of the late James B. Sloan and Mattie George Sloan. She was a retired bookkeeper, having worked for the Mississippi Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and Parks, Tico's Steakhouse and many other local businesses. She was a charter member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Pearl. In later years, she attended the Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Jackson where she served faithfully in many capacities. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority and the Civitan Club. Her hobbies included gardening, painting, traveling and entertaining.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Anthony Brogan, daughter, Carolyn Brogan Cook, and sister, Clarice Sloan Harris.
Survivors include son, John Brogan and wife Cindy; grandchildren, Scott Cook and wife Melissa, Jeff Cook, Glenn Brogan and wife Stacy and Leigh Brogan Hancock and husband Robert; great-grandchildren, Mary Kathryn Brogan, Carly Cook and Kinsey Cook; son-in-law, James W. Cook; nieces, Connie Harris Snow and Laurie Snow Moore and family; nephews, Mark Snow and Christopher Snow and family; as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
