Ms. Margaret H Hurst

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm, Friday, May 23, 2014 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 4:00pm, Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Robinhood Baptist Church with interment in Lakewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.

She was born Monday, July 16, 1934 in Scott County, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Golden C. Hawthorne and Maggie Lee Hawthorne.

Mrs. Hurst was a faithful member of Robinhood Baptist for more than 35 years, serving as pianist and organist. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, her favorite times were spent with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, James E. Hurst, in 2010.

Survivors include son, David Hurst (Laurie); daughter, Susan Burton (Stan Nichols); brother, Richard Hawthorne (Karen); grandchildren, Bill Burton (Casi), Eric Burton, Lisa Guice (John Madison) and Zachary Hurst; and great-grandchild, Noah Burton.
