Marianne was born in Rome, NY on October 29, 1944, a daughter of the late James and Grace Felardo. Early in her career Marianne served as a Spanish teacher, followed by 40 years as a program director for child development services. Her hobbies included country western dancing and traveling, particularly to her favorite, New Orleans.
On May 22, 1993 she married the love of her life, George, formerly of Greenville, MS. Together they shared 25 wonderful years, traveling and being together. Both “foodies”, they would travel untold miles just to eat something new. And George, devoted to her, has often been quoted saying, “Marianne, she’s not my wife, she’s my life.”
Survivors include her beloved husband, George S. Huggins, Jr.; step-son, Sid Huggins (Mary); sister-in-law, Joycie Peebles (Johnny); several cousins, extended family members and friends.
