She was born on March 17, 1978, in Jackson, MS to Mr. Gerald W. Barnett and Mrs. Cora Harris Barnett.
Melissa is preceded in death by her mother Mrs. Cora Harris Barnett.
She is survived by her daughter, Hannah Comans; father, Gerald W. Barnett; sister, Gaye Sebren; grandchild, Addison Hawes; nieces, Chelsea Sebren, Maisy Kent, and Ellie Sebren; nephews, Grayson Sebren, Jerrad Sebren, and Jase Sebren.
Pallbearers will be Zach Hawes, Grayson May, Jerrad Sebren, Luke Comans, Robert Bell, and Daniel Bishop.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 9:30am-11:00am at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. MS. The service will follow afterwards at the funeral home. The burial will take place at Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland, MS following the service.
