Patsy Boyd Holmes

Visitation will be 1:00-4:00pm, Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 10:00am, Monday, June 9, 2014 in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will follow at 2:30pm in the Tylertown Cemetery.

Patsy was born Sunday, February 14, 1932 in Tylertown, a daughter of the late Willie and Flora Boyd. Patsy married Joe B. Holmes of Tylertown. She worked as the secretary of Northside Elementary in Pearl for 25 years. She was a member of Eastside Baptist church and was very active in her Sunday School class. She was of great service in her job and church. Patsy was also a member of the Order of the Pearl and Tylertown Chapters, O.E.S.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Joe Holmes of Pearl; children, Becky Holmes of Crystal Springs, Nancy McArthur of Decatur, AL, Jody Holmes of Nashville, TN and Patti Stedman (Kevin) of Gulfport; brother, Billy Boyd (Jannice) of Tylertown; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Charlene Boyd Harmount of Tylertown.
