Etta Pearl Dyer, 75, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Baptist Medical Center. Visitation is from 11:00AM to 1:00PM Friday, July 27, 2012 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00PM in the Baldwin-Lee Chapel with interment following in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

She is survived by her husband, Weldon Dyer; three children; and five grandchildren.

Etta Pearl Dyer was an extraordinary woman. Fiercely committed to God, family and friends, she always found time for them, even when it required a sacrifice on her part. She always considered the needs of others as more important than her own. She was loyal, independent and fair minded; traits which she helped cultivate in her children and grandchildren. She was exceptionally good at taking care of people; not just caring for their needs but teaching them how to care for themselves. Her Christ-like attitude was an example for all of us and she will be greatly missed. She fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith. She is now enjoying the blessings stored up in heaven for her.
