

Carson was born in Neshoba County. He served in WWII in the European Theater in the 104th Infantry Division, Company C of the 329th Combat Engineers. He stayed connected with his fellow soldiers through the annual Timberwolf Reunions. He worked as an IBEW Electrician throughout the United States on power plants, the TVA project and the World Trade Center. He retired from Klingler Electric in 1983. Carson was also a Mason and a member of Paul Truitt Memorial Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by Sarah, his wife of 60 years. He is survived by sons, Bob Stribling and wife Linda of Brandon, David Stribling and wife Cheri of Pearl and daughter Barbara White and husband Andy of Watkinsville, GA; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one brother, Gerald Stribling of Lakewood, CA.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 29, 2011 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home, Pearl from 6:00-9:00pm. The service will be held in the funeral home chapel Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park, Jackson.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN or Reach the City, Vancouver, Canada.
