Ryedonia Elizabeth Miles

Visitation will be 1:00-4:00pm, Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 1:00pm, Monday, December 21, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with interment in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.

Survivors include children, Betty Miles Newman, Linda Dianne Williams and Barbara Crane; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Ira Miles and Viola McAdory.

She was preceded in death by children, Billy Miles and Beverly Connor, and one grandchild.

Ryedonia was a devoted Christian, a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson, and a charter member of both Southside Assembly of God and Cornerstone Assembly of God churches. She retired after 40 years of service from Vickers-Eaton where she was the first female assembly line employee. She was an excellent cook and seamstress.

An avid gardener, Ryedonia was charter member of the Spring Lake Garden Club. In honor of her love for flowers, a garden will be established in her memory beside the Pearl Park. A fund for the creation of the garden has been established at Trustmark Bank where contributions will be accepted.
