Shirley A. Bowman

Shirley was born on October 16, 1945 to Morris Ware and Juanita Wood Ware in Ruleville, Mississippi. She later moved to Pearl where she spent most of her life working and caring for her family and home. She knew how to live life and she lived it on her terms. She had a great sense of humor, was an amazing encourager, and made everyone feel welcome, at peace, and loved. Her sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved God and people with her whole heart and will be missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Juanita Ware; and two brothers, Morris Ware, Jr. and Ted Ware.

Survivors include her children, Craig Bowman (Annell) and Gary Bowman (Angie); grandchildren, Kristin Bowman (Ana), Brittany Cohn (Travis), Brooke Bowman, and Drew Bowman; great grandchildren, Rowan Watson, Millie Cohn, and one on the way; sisters, Faye Roberts, Wanda Newton (Terry), Betsy Stewart (Frank), and Patsy Livingston; her significant other, Jerry Baker; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, Mississippi from 10:00-11:00 AM, followed by funeral services in the chapel at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
