Mr. Bennett was born in Hopewell, MS on February 20, 1942 to Vernon and Frankie Bennett. He graduated from Crystal Springs High School and served a tour of duty in the U.S. Air Force. He returned to Crystal Springs and worked for Illinois Central Railroad. Later on in life, he worked for Sanderson Farms and retired in 2O15 from Koch Foods.
Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Frankie Bennett.
Survivors include his sister, Deborah Ann Bennett-Johnson and her husband Ronnie of Florence, and his older brother, Bobby Bennett and his wife Judy of
St. Martinsville, Louisiana, and nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
