The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 2:00pm on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. A memorial service will follow at 2:00pm that same day in the funeral home chapel.
She was born on October 20, 1947 to the late June Katherine Brooks Vines and Bill R. Trout in Erie, Pennsylvania. Valerie attended Pearl United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, preceding her in death are her brothers, Robert Vines and Malcolm Vines and her beloved husband of 48 years, Richard L. Ard.
Valerie is survived by her children, Donald Richard Ard (Amanda) and Michelle Grice (Steve); grandchildren, Madison Ard, Cody Grice (Tiffany), Dalton Ard, and Hunter Grice; great-grandchild, Aubrey Ella Ard; brother, Woodrow Vines; sister, Lola Kay Fields; and a number of other dear extended members and friends.
She will be so dearly missed.
